Flame

I am a flame.
Not a raging fire
Or a flickering spark,
But a repressed flame
Burning steadily and eternally.
A flame that fears
Becoming a rampant fire
Burning everything in its wake.
A flame that burns
With dedication and determination
Without flicker or surge.
A flame that glows
In the penetrating darkness
Isolated from other lights.
A flame that hurts
After getting too close,
Arising from persistent anxiety.
I am a flame.
A flame that fears,
A flame that burns,
A flame that glows,
A flame that hurts.
Here is a poem I've been working on to make up for my lack of art... I might add more to it later but I'm not sure right now.
